A little about me....
I began my journey 10 years ago with a strong desire to help women to get what they needed and deserved in their lives. I began helping women with fertility and hormonal imbalances from a homeopathic standpoint and my love for women grew.
After helping lots of women get pregnant, they would ask me "what now?" and suddenly I realized I wanted to be there for these women I had grown to love the entire way through their pregnancy and birth!
I quickly enrolled in nursing school but soon realized that nurses don't get to give mom's the attention they need, I struggled to find my place, and one day I saw a show on TV where a woman was giving birth with the help of a Doula, and I said "thats it!" and I sought out Doula training through D.O.N.A (Doulas of North America).
10 years and over 120 babies later! I have found the wonderful place I belong. And with each baby I have had the honor to see be born, I understand now how important a doula is.
My mother had been a Labor and Delivery Nurse for 35 years before passing away from Cancer a year ago. I wanted to follow in her wonderful footsteps and now I am.
I have had 3 wonderful children of my own. My first child I had a horrible birth experience, I had no help, no coaching and the hospital was so sterile and not what I imagined it would be. It was frightening.
